ABOUT
Dr. Wolfe was born and raised in Minnesota and prides herself on being the first in her family to attend college, graduating from the University of Minnesota with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. After attending medical school there, she completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, which consistently ranks as one of the top radiology residencies in the country. Dr. Wolfe pursued a fellowship in Interventional Radiology (IR) at the University of California in San Diego. With fewer than 10% of interventional radiologists being women, she was fortunate to work with and be trained by a pioneer in fibroid embolization, Dr. Anne C. Roberts.
After being trained by leaders in IR, combined with her love for the fast and ever-changing challenges of being a “specialist to the specialists,” Dr. Wolfe began her career in Minnesota, practicing all facets of interventional radiology. Early in her career, she had an integral part in establishing one of the first independent free-standing vein centers in Central Minnesota, and later became one of the first physicians in Minnesota to perform the UFE procedure through the wrist.
Her expertise has extended to international symposiums, educating fellow physicians on innovative procedures, and she has established a strong reputation nationally after previously working at the busiest fibroid practice in the country in Atlanta, Georgia. Now back in Minnesota, Dr. Wolfe is determined to accelerate the growth of interventional radiology in the Midwest alongside Dr. Cumming at VIE.
Patients and colleagues appreciate Dr. Wolfe’s calm demeanor and great sense of humor, as well as her ability to relate to people and explain complex treatments and conditions in terms patients can understand. She encourages patients to live healthy lifestyles, and in her free time is passionate about yoga, cooking, and travel.
